In the beginning.

 

The first time I got pwned by an 8-year-old and subsequently told what to suck, I busted a gut and tasted tears of hot joy.

 

I'm your host Brad and I'm a jerk. I've always been interested in baiting people. Some even call me the master baitor. I wish.

 

When a teammate killed me to take back 'his' sniper rifle while aggressively questioning my sexuality I wanted to bottle his glowing hate. The purity was like none I had ever seen. His outburst was such a gross overreaction to the circumstance and so vehemently presented that I could not let it become a memory.

 

So I bought a cell phone recorder from radio shack and started recording some of the more animated sessions that I came across. I'm dropping those little nuggets off here and flushing them out to you.

 

Then, with help from another project, I modded my xbox live headset to accept audio from my computer. That meant that I could play soundboards into xbox live.
If you want to make your own search for 'attenuate line level to mic level' and you'll be on the right track. There is also a device called the smack talked which does teh same thing, albeit in a crappy way.

 

The site today

 

With a host of virtual celebrities at my fingertips the baiting increased in frequency and intensity. Over 300 recordings have been generated so far and now I can master bait for long periods effortlessly.

 

Dr. Phil, whom I respect, and Mr. Rogers, my respect for whom eclipses my respect for Dr. Phil, have become very useful hate magnets. The Dr. with his stern barnyard logic and the Mr. being a gentle earthbound angel make it as easy as torch fishing.

So why do you do it?

I love it. I've had some of my greatest laughs doing it.

Do you think you are helping?

Not very much. I generate many good feelings that I don't bother showcasing here but I'd say overall I'm on the bad side of karma fighting back.

Do you play at the same time?

Yes.

Is it hard to do?

It is hard to play my best while I control the sounds but I play well enough.

Is it legal?

Probably not. I've looked into it but it's unclear. I'm sure I'm on borrowed time here. I don't identify the people and I'm not selling the recordings.

Surely the copyright on the samples is a problem?

Yes. I'm no expert on fair use when it comes to satire but basically if anybody with money tried to stop me I bet they could.

Do you have any rules?

I try to respond to ugliness only. Sometimes I do create ugliness but I'm working on minimizing that.

When younglings are online, the master baiting stops.  If I hear a kiddy I cool it way down.

Some of those little ankle-biters must deserve it?

Agreed but I give that a wide birth. I'll record their tantrums and threats with glee. I'll annoy them but I'm not going to corrupt them.
